Click on image to read the list of projects supposedly in the works at the time. It's interesting they were already talking about Aliens vs. Predator back then. I think that looking back, if I could go back in time and tell people which ones actually did end up getting made, there would probably be some surprise.

There's an "Ask The Answer Man" column where Bob Rozakis flatly states in a reponse that a Batman movie will be out Summer 1981.
Neat find, Aaron! I was actually surprised to see that a lot of these actually got made, and also that movies like Fantastic Four were in development that long ago. Does "Blackhawk" refer to the WWII flying squardron or something else, I wonder? If it's the former, I'd love to see that become a movie.
Rob! - I guess he was only off by 8 years - I wonder if Adam West was being considered?
Liss - They actually did make a notorious FF movie at the time that had something to do with Roger Corman keeping an option on the property, or some show biz legalese. It never got officially released but supposedly makes the rounds at conventions. You can watch the trailer here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcpmM-eTESI
It never ceases to amaze me how all these awesome underground things find their way to YouTube. Like the Justice League live action pilot, for example.
I sometimes don't know how I lived before youtube - imagine there was a time I couldn't just watch whatever eighties video I happened to be thinking about at that moment, haha!
I bought the FF movie and the JLI pilot as bootleg VHS tapes at cons, and before my time, they'd be acquired through pen pal fan networks. I quite liked the FF movie at the time, but that other thing was always a turd (despite the presence of Miguel Ferrer!)
Liss, Steven Spielberg was attached to the WWII-era Blackhawk movie at one point in the late 70s/early 80s. Comics Scene and Amazing Heroes are treasure troves, and really show what a chaotic mess Hollywood is.
