...since there have been Coneheads and Ghostbusters comics based on the movies of Mr. Dan Aykroyd. I was fortunate enough to meet him last Saturday at an event promoting his line of wine and other spirits. I don't drink but bought a bottle of wine as a keepsake and he was nice enough to shake my hand and sign my Blues Brothers poster as himself and as Elwood. Neat!

Wow! You've got a great knack for collecting really awesome things. That's nice that he signed your poster for you!
Thanks! I sometimes feel a bit ashamed of the scatterbrainedness my collection of stuff displays on the part of its owner, but I suppose there is a lot of variety. It's nice being able to show some of it via a blog.
I thought it very cool he signed the poster as well as the bottle - I will probably get it framed now!
Wow, that's cool. Aykroyd is one of my all-time favorite SNL alumni.
Thanks! I think Blues Brothers still reigns as the best SNL movie...not that the competition is too stiff in most cases.
I actually remember kinda liking The Coneheads. Normally I'd worry about saying that out loud, but you admit to liking Superman III so who are you to judge?
Oh yes, Coneheads I remember being quite funny, and I liked that we got to see a Moons of Meepzorp festival.
